Bet On Yourself
Meet, Gege
I’ve been betting on myself my whole life.
From the poker table to the boardroom, I’ve learned that the only way to win big is to believe in yourself, especially when the stakes are high.
As the founder and president of Prodigy Personnel and Prodigy People, I’ve helped grow a company from $800,000 in annual revenue to over $50 million in just 15 years. But I didn’t do it alone. I’ve been fortunate to have incredible staff, strong leadership, and a tight circle of small partners who believed in the vision and helped bring it to life, day in and day out. Together, we’ve built more than a staffing firm. We’ve built a people-first culture grounded in trust, hustle, and long-term thinking, betting on myself my whole life.

The Heart of Bet On yourself
But long before I was helping companies build winning teams, I was sharpening my own edge in a very different arena: the world of professional poker.
From 1997 to 2003, I played the game professionally, learning how to read people, manage pressure, and make high-stakes decisions with limited information. That experience didn’t just shape my strategy, it shaped my life. Today, I still embrace the game as a high-limit player at The Wynn, where the cards may change, but the mindset stays the same: calculated risks, total focus, and absolute belief in yourself.
That’s what Bet on Yourself is all about, my book, my podcast, and the way I try to show up in business and in life.
At the heart of it all, I’m a proud husband to Tamara and father to my daughters, Jessica and Alyssa. Everything I do…every hand I play, every bet I make, is ultimately for them.
What Keeps Me Grounded
Through every phase of life; entrepreneur, leader, poker player, my greatest role has always been at home. My wife Tamara and our daughters Jessica and Alyssa are my anchor and my inspiration. They remind me that success is measured not just by wins, but by the way you live, love, lead and the time I give to them.

Lifestyle
Success isn’t just about what you build, it’s about how you live.
For me, that means creating space for the things that truly matter—family, freedom, and the experiences that make life unforgettable..
From the energy of the tables at The Wynn, to weekend escapes at our cottage in Muskoka, or quality time at our vacation home near Disney in Orlando, I believe in designing a life that reflects your values, not just your victories.
It’s about the little things that fuel me daily:
Laughing with my wife Tamara and our daughters Jessica and Alyssa
Catching a live Steelers game in black and gold
Watching NFL all day on Sunday
“Camp Gege” at the cottage with my 8 Nephews, 7 Nieces and all my friends kids
Being present, grateful, and grounded—even when life gets loud
Through every high and low, I carry the memory of my sister Kathy, lovingly known as “Urk.” She passed away at just 39, but her strength, her laugh, and her unshakable spirit live on in me.
I carry her with me every single day—literally—with her name tattooed on my arm, a constant reminder of where I come from and who I carry forward.
Her loss knocked me off course in a way I didn’t see coming. For two years, I kept it buried, trying to keep moving, but the weight of it pulled me outside the lines.
And then, someone crossed my path at a time I expected it the least. They didn’t offer answers or advice, just a quiet presence that helped me get back to being me again. Back to Gege. Back inside the lines.
